Pelor is the god of sun, light, strength and healing. He is worshipped by many in Bahumia, including Beverly Toegold IV, Beverly Toegold V, and presumably Thiala.
Description[]
Pelor is described as a giant bald Santa Claus type character who loves surfing and hanging out.
According to Bortram, Pelor once had a romantic relationship with the Raven Queen, goddess of light and life. This led to the birth of their daughter, goddess of light and death, known as Dusk Mother by those who worship her.
It is also suggested that Pelor may have once had something with Melora, and he may keep distance because of it.

Prior to The Story[]
Pelor joined in a pact with the other gods which barred them from coming directly to the Material Plane.
In General[]
Though never directly, it is suggested that Pelor has intervened to help Beverly Toegold many times when called upon. In Galaderon, for example, Beverly prays to the god and thinks he sees a Pelor statue winking back at him.
The Chosen Saga[]
In an attempt to secure her place as the most powerful of all the gods, Thiala plotted to kill Pelor in order to take his divine heart. Thiala used the Dwarf mage Maz to capture Beverly and Erlin and teleport them to a cave located in Smuggler's Bounty where she knocked them out. Upon waking Beverly noticed Erlin's dead body on an altar and quickly cast revivify on him. It was revealed that she snuck in behind Erlin as he went toward the light and using her forces engaged Pelor in battle, and as Beverly cast revivify it weakened him just enough for her to strike and kill him.
